G'day mates!
Today we flew home to the U.S. We got up uber early to catch our first flight down to Melbourne, Australia, where Antja's exit row luck finally rubbed off on everyone =o) After a quick hour-ish flight on Virgin Australia's VH-YVA (complete with Boeing's Sky Interior :)) we arrived in Melbourne and went to check-in for our international flight back to Los Angeles. After checking in, we went through security and immigration (and their crazy huge lines), grabbed some grub, and boarding Virgin Australia's VH-VPE, for our fourteen hour flight to LA. After killing some time watching movies, eating, and chatting, some of us decided it was time for bed and grabbed some ZZZZZs. Soon enough, we arrived in LA, before we left (we arrived around 8 AM and left at 12:15 PM) to reclaim our luggage. Unfortunately, not all of our luggage made it back (but Virgin knows where they are and they should be delivered soon) and parted ways back to our respective homes.
After a three week trip, I feel our friendship has strengthened and I am really fortunate to have three friends that are crazy enough to embark on this adventure with me. The memories (and ~30 GB of photos) will last me a lifetime. It was a great trip and one that leaves me yearning to return to the Land Down Under soon...
